Background and Objective
The year of 2016 is the 50th Anniversary for HKTDC and HKTDC is celebrating its Anniversary all-year-round. To engage the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Hong Kongers to take part in the HKTDC 50th Anniversary, we are invited to develop a Web-based Photo Booth Campaign.
“Snap a Story” Concept
We created a “Snap a Story” theme stated in the homepage with different SMEs thematic and calligraphy design to focus on the user engagement. The Snap a Story theme is the user generated content approach in which we attract users to tell their stories as “Hong Kongers” in sharing their photos.
Fun & Entertaining
We combined the photo campaign with the Hong Kong Spirit, the identity of Hong Kong people, to make it fun and entertaining. Users can customize their own featured stories by selecting different languages, photo filters, and various attributions to choose from.
Social Media Integration
In promoting the campaign, we integrated with the social network sharing function into the campaign to leverage the viral effect in social media platforms. Users can share their stories through Facebook, Weibo, WhatsApp, WeChat, Instagram, and email with the campaign hashtag.
Responsive Webpage Design
The design element of the campaign focuses on simplicity and calligraphy. Responsive web design is applied to provide the optimal user experience for desktop, tablet, and mobile users.
